With Hubby out of town and dark clouds looming outside, I decided to give some of these Olympics crafts (that I've been voraciously pinning) a try with my 3 busy little ones...
After the baking and cooling steps, we painted them...
I used glitter paint by Craft Smart (from Michael's) in gold, silver and orange (for bronze)...
I got the idea from The Imagination Tree and the post with step-by-step instructions can be found here.

While our medals were baking, we created some "ring art" using plastic bowls dipped in the 5 colors of the Olympic rings...
After the "rings" dried, we went back and stamped the letters "U.S.A." along with some gold stars...
I think that they turned out quite well!
Just waiting on them to dry now...
I got the idea from this official Olympics poster designed by Rachel Whiteread, which I L-O-V-E.
Fingers crossed that the weather stays dry tomorrow!

It's absolutely perfect! I love it!!!

I LOVE the ring art! Those look like so much fun. We love painting, and we just happen to have little containers like those. Thanks for linking up to The Sunday Showcase.
